Harry Kalliaras, was born on 13thof September 1972 in Trikala, where he grew up. He graduated from the Faculty of Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Geology, focused in Engineering Geology. In 2005 successfully completed his MSc Business Management Graduate Program and acquired MBA, continuing the systematic updating, about the trends developing with the activities of companies in the European and global scale. Attempting to gain an integrated view of the aspects of investment activity, the dynamics of the spatial economy and regional and local development policies, as well as the theory and practice of regional policies, in 2018, he obtained the MSc in Investment and Regional Development from the Department of Engineering Planning & Regional Development of the University of Thessaly.
Since 1998 until today is developing continuous professional activity in respect of the undertaking, organization and support studies, strategic planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of development programs and investment projects, planning and implementation of Quality Management Systems.
Since 2000 he has worked with local and regional development agencies (PINDOS K.S.S., KENAKAP sa, ANDIA, e-Trikala sa) in the planning & implementation of inter-local, inter-regional and transnational cooperation projects and 2016 began his collaboration with the Municipality of Trikala as Advisor to the Mayor in operational and strategic planning. At the same time, since 2009 he has been business engaged in the wood industry, as a partner in one of the most modern wood processing plants in the Balkan region, PINDOS XYLON Co.
He knows and speaks fluently English.
In his free time, he “takes” the mountains, because his interest of climbing, skiing and mountain activities, listening to music and using new technologies.
